Home learning is an integral part of the curriculum. The nature of the tasks varies from subject to subject and is set according to the student’s ability and the departmental scheme of work. Homework tasks are recorded by teachers on our online platform Teams Assignments. Pastoral and department staff will regularly monitor homework completion. Students are expected to meet homework deadlines. At Altwood School we strongly encourage the active support of parents in ensuring homework is completed on time. Home learning helps students’ academic development, their time management and ability to work independently, it has a positive impact on their overall achievement and progress.
