 Dear Parent

As we break for the May holiday, I wanted to take this opportunity to share a significant highlight and success of our last term.

Following on from our OFSTED Inspection, as a Church School, we have undergone a second inspection – the Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools (SIAS).  This is an important requirement and seeks to establish:

1)      how the needs of all young people are met in a Church School community;

2)      the quality of leadership & management of our School;

3)      the quality and impact of Collective Worship.

As a Church School, via OFSTED and this second inspection, our work together to serve our young people is really very closely scrutinised and analysed.  As you know our OFSTED inspection outcome was excellent, and I am delighted to now be able to share with you that our Church School inspection was absolutely excellent as well.  We have been graded an outstanding (grade 1) Church School in all respects, with no areas for development.  This is a wonderful community achievement to be celebrated.

I have shared this fantastic outcome with our young people explaining to them how proud I am of them.  Their response, their engagement, their achievement, the way they value themselves and others are what the inspector was looking at and what resulted in this outcome.  Our inspector could not speak highly enough about our wonderful young people and I thought you would be delighted to hear this news.  They are a real credit to their school and their families.

Thank you very much indeed for your partnership and support.  We are now a very strongly positioned school community and can look forward to going from strength to strength together.

Very best wishes

SIAS Inspection Report 2009

30 March 2009

Dear Parent

Re: OFSTED SUCCESS

 As promised, now that the report on our recent inspection has been formulated, I am delighted to be able to share with you the outcome of our recent inspection.

The staff, Governors and I are exceptionally pleased with the really positive endorsement of our work and achievement as a school community highlighted in this report.  As you can see from the report attached, the word ‘outstanding’ was used frequently, indeed in terms of areas where judgements are made, we were awarded 19

grade 1s’ – ‘outstanding’ and all other areas were given grades of no less than ‘good’ with outstanding features.

Our last inspection in 2006 was very positive indeed, but I am delighted the Inspectors identified clearly the fact that we have gone from strength-to-strength since then and are achieving great things together.

The success of our school is down to each and every single member of our community.  I therefore want to sincerely thank you for the role that you play in supporting your child’s school.  I also wish to congratulate our young people.  The quality of a school community directly reflects the quality and contribution of each member of the community.  The role you and your child plays is vital.

So, we have very much to celebrate and very much to look forward to.  I certainly look forward to our school community continuing to achieve great things

Yours sincerely
